Michael Owen admits he was desperate to rejoin Liverpool ever since he left Anfield to sign for Real Madrid.The ex-England international smashed more than 150 goals for the Reds before Los Blancos paid £8million to bring him to Spain in 2004.Owen claims he never wanted to quit Merseyside for the Bernabeu, and was itching for a return to his old stomping ground after just 12 months in La Liga.
